What are your business hours? We are open M-F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

How much postage will it cost to mail my job? Here is a link to or “Understanding Mailing” booklet. Page 7 has all the current rates. I you need help figuring it out just call us. If you would like a free printed copy of this book just ask, we will gladly send you a copy of it.

What types of printing do you do? We offer traditional offset printing from one to five colors and digital printing up to four colors. High speed B&W/Color copying. We also have ink-jet and laser printers available for special projects such as wide format posters, banners and for imprinting special envelopes.

What is digital printing? Digital printing is a method of printing in which data and images are printed directly from a computer onto paper. There are no intermediate steps such as making plates or dies in order to produce a printed image. There are a wide variety of digital printing devices such as, ink-jet, laser, and xerographic. Digital printing also allows each print to be different, which is sometimes referred to as variable data printing.

What other services do you offer besides printing? We have a full bindery dept. that can cut, fold, and bind your job in a wide variety of ways. We also have a full service mailing and fulfillment department. Some of our specialty services include; foil stamping, embossing and die-cutting. Our web based ordering system allows repeat customers to log into their account and reorder jobs and track inventory.

If I want my printing to be as “Green” as possible how should I get it produced? All of the printing processes used in our modern plant are much more environmentally friendly than they were just a few years ago. The use of chemicals and the toxicity of them have been greatly reduced. The waste byproducts of old fashioned printing methods have all been either reduced or eliminated. Offset printing has become a wise environmental choice but digital printing currently has some advantages. Digital printing produces virtually no waste, it uses less electricity and it reduces the amount of paper necessary for the job because every sheet is a perfect print. You can also choose paper that is either recycled or is produced from wood grown in sustainable forests.

What type of file is best to save/send my job in? A PDF File (portable document format) is the easiest file for us to use. Make sure your images and files are saved in high resolution with crop marks and bleeds.

Do you accept jobs in any other formats? Yes, we accept almost any kind of file, Mac or PC. Our preference is still a .pdf file but we will work with whatever you can give us. In some cases if additional time is necessary to fix and or process your files, appropriate charges may apply.

What resolution should my images and files have so they print well? Although there are exceptions to the rule, we would suggest 300dpi at 100% final size of the printed job.

How do I send my files to Success Printing? You can email smaller jobs to us or put them onto a CD or flash drive but the easiest way is to upload them to our ftp site. It is the red button on every page of our website in the top right hand corner that says “Send Your File”. Once you click it, you will be asked to create a username and password, then you simply attach the file just like you would in an email and hit send. You will then get a confirmation email that we have received it.

How will my proof be printed? It depends on how your job will be printed. Generally we will send you a .pdf file via email (soft proof). If you would like a printed sample that you can hold in your hand we will either print out a proof on our digital press or on our ink-jet plotter printer (hard proof).

Will my proof look exactly like the final printed piece? In most cases no. If you are viewing a pdf file on your computer, the color will certainly vary. If you received a plotter proof for a job that is going to be offset printed, the proof should be a close representation of the final piece. Although it will be printed on a special ink-jet paper, not on the actual paper your job will be printed on. If you received a digital proof for a job that will be digitally printed, it should look exactly like the final printed piece.

How long does it take to get my job printed? Every job has unique circumstances but generally “normal” turnaround is 5-7 business days. We can usually accommodate your schedule so be sure to let us know when your project is due.

Is there a rush fee to get my job printed faster? We do not charge rush fees to our customers. When we are quoting and starting a printing job we discuss due dates with our clients to make sure we can deliver on time. In the rare event that we do not feel that we can meet our client’s goals we will either decline the project or we will work overtime to complete it. In that case we will bill our clients accordingly.

What does “CMYK” and “four color process” mean? CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black, these are the four colors that are used in four-color process printing. The entire color spectrum that the human eye can see on a printed sheet can be produced using various combinations of these inks.

What does “PMS” mean? PMS stands for Pantone Matching System. The Pantone matching system is a proprietary set of pre-formulated colors that are widely accepted as the standard set of available colors in the printing industry.

What forms of payment are accepted and on what terms? Most of our clients have accounts and are invoiced once the job is finished. All invoices must be paid within 30 days. We accept checks, cash and credit/debit cards. First time clients will be asked to leave a 50% deposit and pay the balance COD. If desired after the first project is complete we will provide a credit application to establish an account.

What is your refund policy? We do everything we can do avoid a situation where a refund would be necessary. In the event a mistake is made in the printing process and the job is unacceptable we will reprint it at no charge. However, if our staff does not cause the mistake, the client will be responsible to pay for the job. We cannot be held responsible for human errors such as typographical errors, low resolution images or logos, design errors, inaccurate information, improper file set up or wrong specifications supplied by the client. We ask that you kindly review the proofs carefully and provide us with a clearly written purchase order prior to the commencement of the job.

What is Aqueous coating? Aqueous coating is a waterless clear protective coating that is applied inline during the offset printing process. It is the last (sixth) unit on our Ryobi five color press. It coats the wet ink that was just printed onto the paper and seals it in as the sheets pass through an infrared drying unit. We have high gloss and satin formulas that can be used depending on the look the clients wish to achieve.

Are there other types of coatings that can be used? Yes we can also use traditional offset printing varnish. Varnish can be applied inline similar to aqueous coating. Varnish is available in a variety of finishes from high gloss to dull. UV coating can also be applied to the printed sheets but it is more expensive than either of the other options. It is done off-line as a separate process and adds additional days to the production schedule. UV coating is the highest gloss of all three finishes.

What types of paper can be used? We have virtually no limitations in what kind of paper can be used on any of our presses. If the paper is available and can be purchased in appropriate quantities we can usually print onto it.
